If press conferences were first dates John Calipari just got to third base
So, John Calipari was introuduced to the Big Blue Nation today as the next coach of our beloved University of Kentucky Wildcats. That’s Cal-uh-pear-ee to you. Apparently I’ve been pronouncing it wrong all these years and and had no idea. Cal-uh-par-ee. I know I’m not alone here.
Billy Clyde Gillispie’s tenure seems like many, many years ago at this point. The brain cells containing the memories of losses to VMI and Gardner Webb are rapidly being replaced by visions of final fours and trips to Indianapolis.
I really should write a retrospective about Gillispie’s last two years at the helm of the Cats but honestly, I’m just not in the mood. Today was too awesome. It is time to move on and look forward to the future.
