I doubt that any of you played a minute of college ball. After being in the field of education for over thirty years, this sounds like a kid who says "Mom all I did was pass a note to Mary Sue and that mean old teacher kicked me out of class." This was probably the straw that broke the camels back. Two things, first the coach is in charge. Second, Mills is a walk on. Having coached high school and played college ball I can tell you if BG felt like this was some minor thing he would have worked it out. I don't understand why this should deserve any more commentary - it's a non-event as far as I'm concerned. Just because Dusty made a private conversation public doesn't mean Billy should "reward" him with any more of his time. That would just encourage other players accross the nation to do the same to thier coaches. It's true that Dusty does seem to be trying to get in a parting shot at Gillispie, and it is also surprising that Gillispie had nothing more to say on the subject. I agree that the comments should not be left out there unresponded-to for other coaches to point to and say, "See, Gillispie abuses his players -- look what he did to Mills! The guy is unstable!"
