So, we finally made it through the Tubby Era, thank God. I know we have yet to see what BCG can do with the Wildcats, but in ten minutes of speaking he said and did more of the right things than Tubby did in ten years. Billy has brought back the feelings of Kentucky Basketball I had under the Pitino years and for the first time since Pitino left, I feel that the Kentucky program is in safe hands again.
Yes, I do have an account of firetubbysmith.com and I did lobby for his removal as basketball coach, but I am content with who we have now and I am glad this site is up and running before those of us who were TOO extreme on the Tubby case decide to run Billy G off too.
Basketball is going to be fun to watch once again, and we can finally get back to the basketball Kentucky is used to playing, and that’s winning.
I wish Tubby all the luck in the world in Minnesota, if he averages the 26 wins a year he did in Lexington, he can retire there. He’s too good of a person not to wish that for, and for making the right decision when he did instead of hanging around a while longer I wish him the best.
Just hope he didn’t shake hands! That’s like the kiss of death for him.
